Howdy, gang! - I had a few extra minutes due to a student canceling out, so here's a bit of an update for all of you.
For several weeks now, I've been trying to put another band together. A real band, not just me, Keith, Chris, and Ian, and several MIDI instruments. Its purpose would be to write and record my third "solo" album. Unfortunately, this is proving harder than I expected. Seems a lot of folks "might" be interested, but no one wants to commit. Keith and the guys will do it, of course - I've asked Keith to help write the songs - but their availability is limited. Keith is going out with Andy Bowling and most of my former bandmates over the summer, and Chris and Ian will only be available over the summer. When you add that all to the fact that the "cover album" is a year behind schedule because I basically burned out on programming MIDI drums and got lazy, you can see the quandary I'm in.
So, right now I badly need a drummer and a keyboard player, especially a drummer. So, if there's anyone in the Canal Fulton / Massillon / Canton, OH. area that has their own set and would be willing to play in a classic rock band, please feel free to drop me a line on my Xanga or on my Facebook page. Having your own set is crucial; experience is not. I'm not going to promise fame and fortune, just a recording that will be on iTunes eventually, and some live gigs.
Otherwise, things are pretty much as they have been for several months, which is why I don't update as often. I WILL, however, finish the "Growing Up...." series before the summer ends, I promise! There's only a few more important things to cover, anyway.
