Give Me A Reason
After I heard my first mix of this song, frankly, I went "Yuck!" The vocals were too loud and unbalanced. This mix is MUCH better. With this, the album is done. I await the public's opinion on all the tracks. HAPPY EASTER! -
"Chameleon" (Mix 01)
To quote Jeff Beck, this song is "an excuse...to be flash on guitar". A blues song with a sense of humour. -
Winter Blues
Finally, a finished mix! My associate producer, TJ, called it "Brilliant!" when he heard it. I won't argue, but I will say that most of the credit goes to Keith, who plays some incredible guitar in this song! -
Hold Me Closer
This is the finished version of the song. Written in the early 80's, I think. (The earliest recording I have of this is from 1982.) Keith and I share all the vocals, and Keith does all the lead guitar work. The rest of the instruments are me (some via MIDI). Hope you enjoy listening to it. -
Little Rock And Roll Star
This is the finished mix. Ian put the finishing touches on it with his harmony part. Please let me know what you think! -
Another Loved One
The newest finished mix that's awaiting approval from my co-producers and my "golden ears" panel. Keith thought the original mix was a little "empty" sounding, made a production decision, and suggested I add the violin part. So I wrote what I thought was a cool violin part. Note how it harmonizes with my guitar solo at the end of the solo. Hope you like it! -
A Whiter Shade Of Pale
Every time I think I have this mixed properly, I'm wrong. :) My associate producer, TJ, has always said the drums were too loud before. So, here's my latest attempt. What d'yer think? -
Too Late To Be A Star
Keith suggested taking the echo off the last verse. He was right. This is the latest finished mix. -
Preludium and Tomorrow (Rock A Little)
This is the remixed version of the opening two tracks of the new CD. -
Tomorrow (Rock A Little) - Intro.
This is actually finished - the intro, that is. It's a little connecting piece that goes between "Preludium" and the title track. -
14 Rock And Roll City
The only track that almost all of the musicians who worked on the first album actually play on. The only one missing is Mike Niemoeller. This one rocks, in my opinion. Andy Bowling wrote the orchestral/keyboard opening. -
Give Me A Reason
This is actually a finished backing track. Recorded in 1986 by my band at the time, "Imagine". The manic lead guitar is by Paul Antonelli, who was 14 and my student at the time. It was recorded in Paul's basement using two stereo reel-to-reel decks. I play rhythm guitar and some fill leads.
